Why do I need to bring my ID to use the Rec Center? A valid CSU ID or Campus Recreation membership card helps identify Student Recreation Center members. Presenting your ID expedites your check-in process and allows you to check-out equipment during your visit. What are pool and spa temperatures? The spa is approximately 100 degrees. The pool is approximately 83 degrees. When can children swim? Children of an eligible member may swim during family hours. During the Rec Center Renovation, Children may swim during "Open" swim times; M-F 6-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 3-6pm (times subject to change, visit http://campusrec.colostate.edu/Page/Aquatics/ for current "Open" swim times. Children should be able to swim a proficient 25 yards to the lifeguard’s satisfaction or be accompanied by an adult swimmer within an arm’s reach while using the pool or spa.

You may purchase goggles at the Service Desk! How many laps make a mile in the pool? Thiry-six laps or 72 lengths make a mile in our pool. How many lanes are availalbe for lap swimming? This varies. Please visit http://campusrec.colostate.edu/Page/Aquatics/ to view lane availability. Why do I need to take a shower before using the spa or pool? A head-to-toe soap shower is required by the state health code. It is the single most important factor in maintaining a clean, healthy pool. What are Moby and South College pool and gyms used for? Athletics and Health and Exercise Science use these facilities. Sport Clubs, Intramural Sports, Non-Credit Instructional Classes, and University Scheduling use these facilities in the evenings for their programs.

Eight laps around the track from the middle lane is a mile. How are music and TV stations determined? Patrons may request one of the cable music stations by stopping at the Weight Room Desk. The station will be played for 30 minutes at which time the next request will be honored. TV stations have designated channels displayed during mornings and noon hours, to request a change please ask your friendly Weight Room Attendants (in the blue shirts). What are peak hours and when can I avoid the crowd? Peak hours are Sunday-Friday, 3:00-8:00 p.m. The first several weeks of the semester are a busy time of year. Come work out in the mid-morning to early afternoon to avoid the peak hours. When are family hours? All hours during the summer term are family hours.Social Media:

The Student Recreation Center is open for drop-in recreation and activities all hours the building is open. Exceptions are made for special events and advanced notice is given when possible. All hours are subject to change based on event scheduling in the Student Recreation Center.
